Listen to the man, keep your hands out of your pockets! And dig for those monuments, don't just stand there!
With my Zoom 90 it will lock onto my vest, but only up close (within 25??), but that??s rare and usually noticeable. I have a one from 3 or 4 years ago, so maybe with the new material things have changed. Still wouldn??t trade it with any other vest. The guy that makes them actually was a field guy for a while before getting into making vests so he got a lot of feedback from us about the features we wanted on the vest.
And I'll utilize the classic once again....
4 out of 3 people have trouble with fractions.....

Mr OK my friend, I'm going to have to disagree with you.?ÿ I picked one up this spring.?ÿ I like the fit but the pockets down right blow.?ÿ Just a couple of days into ownership I bent over a MH and the tiny bit of Velcro on the pen pocket flat gave way.?ÿ I lost about $30 buck worth of pens, scribes and scale then and there.?ÿ Maybe I got a lemon but construction looks rushed, the hemming on my was all frayed out of the bag.?ÿ If I don't collard shirt my neck take a beating.
I do like the fit and the fact that it comes with a loop to hang it in the truck.?ÿ I wish I could get a Seco / PC hybrid.?ÿ
As for the reflectivity, the PC is great and my MS50 does not seem to track it.
@john-putnam?ÿ Yeah I took mine to a seamstress at one point to get the stitching done right in a couple spots, so that criticism is legit.
I like them, I have a summer weight and the regular one.
I'd say he meant it in more of an "I'm impressed" sort of way because, I can say with confidence, I was the ONLY one carrying any kind of tape at that time. I agree though, having a tape handy should not be a shock in our field.
For a few dollars more you could get 2 of these:
I hadn't noticed the loop before. Thanks for that.?ÿ The padded neck line is one of my favorite parts. Having the weight hanging on the back of my neck was a problem for me with other vests. I always wear a collared shirt in all seasons, maybe that's why.
I haven't found the pockets to be a problem, but I don't deny that stuff does fall out from time to time. Fit and finish on mine is excellent.
@sergeant-schultz That's what I currently wear, and it beats the party chief vest by a mile. Constructions is of good quality and it has held up well to my abuse.
@hi-staker I have 2 - a size M for warm weather and an L for the winter 🙂
@jitterboogie But in other circumstances 4/3 is a legit fraction that could be reduced....
?ÿ
YouTube your experiment of extracting that 1/3 person.
Wear proper ppe for all the fluids.

The most important part of a Survey Vest is the big pocket on the back where I put my lunch. Then the side zippers where I put two water bottles for every hour that I could possibly be in the field, except if I am near St George and then I pack 4 bottles per hour.
Those vests don't have a lunch pocket!
Yours has a padded neck line??ÿ Mine does not and it drives me crazy even with the collared shirts I tend to wear.?ÿ That is unless I go for the Joe Cool look and keep the collar up.
I'm starting to wonder if they are having quality control issues.
