We have a Trimble 5603 that we haven‰Ûªt been able to get to work with a new Carlson Surveyor2. We are trying to keep the old robot around as a backup. Previously, the Trimble was used with a Nomad w/Spectra Precision software. The radios have been replaced by Paranis. We just simply haven‰Ûªt had a lot of time to experiment. If anyone has already figured it out and is willing to share the secret combination, I would appreciate it greatly. Thanks in advance.

Stacy

Stacy,

I just caught your post this morning. I have put together a system that combines a Carlson RT3 with a Spectra Focus 10. Not sure about the Carlson Surveyor2. I am trying to wring every ounce out of the Spectra. I've just about had it with all of the cables and battery systems, though.

Carson software does work with my instrument, once you follow the routine that Carson publishes. Still have to carry the heavy Georadio and battery for mine to work. Can't get the Parani's to fit into the mix, however.

I hope this helps.

JA, PLS SoCal
