Had to get a temporary use permit from a governing body for placing a photo target. They have restricted me to having the tgt down for 5 days. We tied it to other control today, and are hoping that Monday is a good flying day..... they charged me $25 for the permit. 😐
By the time we cut the check and they cash it, I'm sure that both they and us will each have more expense in processing it than the actual $$$ exchanged.
It was one of those, bite the bullet things. Do the right thing. Several individuals on both sides of the transaction alluded to the forgiveness/permission gig.
whose land was it on?
I'll not say, Perry. It wouldn't really add to the discussion. It does illustrate the tendency of bureaucracies to require adherence to a policy when common sense would point to a different solution.

If you are setting a photo target on private land and you have the owner's permission then why would you bother getting a permit? What right would the city have to tell you you can't put a couple strips of white fabric down on the ground if they don't own the land?
Live free or die- My bad...
I didn't clarify that the Governing body is the "owner" of this particular tract.

I put out invisable ink targets, made out of lemon juice. Works good!
Nobody knows they are there, and they work good.
