@lunarfaze Which state??ÿ I wasn't aware there were many 8 hour state exams left.
@lunarfaze back in my day, you had to wait 3 months for the results.?ÿ I took my exam in late October and did not get my results in the mail until Valentines day.?ÿ Opening that envelope and seeing the passing score results was one of the best days on my life!
It was a similar situation for me in 1991. I took the first 8 hour exam in the spring and the second exam plus the state specific in the fall. I passed them both on the first attempt. I was 29.?ÿ
The NCEES practice exam was pretty much useless except becoming familiar with the question format.?ÿ
Yup. Just not enough material there.
1997. I made copious use of George Coles LSIT Practice Exam and the 1001 Solved books, both of which are still available but under different titles. The NCEES book has 20 questions. Those other two books have a total of about 1200 questions.?ÿ When I could answer any and all of those from memory, I was ready. Although I didn't feel like I was going in.?ÿ

During the break of the second 8 hour exam there were several guys outside talking about exam questions. I remember listening to them argue over the correct answers. After listening to them for a while I thought to myself, either I am about to fail this exam or not too many people who are here today are going to pass. It turned out that the latter was true. Trust your education, your training, and your instincts.

I thought that was specifically prohibited at the exam. And lots of people fail. That said, I always advise those I mentor to make schedule the test even before you feel you are ready, then work to be ready by that deadline. If you wait to schedule till you know you are good, you never will.
I encourage them that if they don't pass at least they know what they don't know now. I think that passes for encouragement.
@dmyhill?ÿ
I agree with this.?ÿ If I waited until I felt I was ready I would have never taken the FS or state-specific.?ÿ I did well on all my exams, but always felt I wasn't ready.?ÿ?ÿ
Better to fail and learn from it than to never try.
@joe-b We fall hardest when we know we have everything figured out...
I should be getting my You Failed noticed any day now.?ÿ ????ÿ

I believe they will also show you how you did on the different topics, compared to the average (or something like that.)?ÿ It used to be a bar graph, which will show you where you need to focus your studies.?ÿ Definitely take advantage of that.?ÿ I think it's available when you log into your NCEES account after you get your results.
Got my email today.?ÿ Logged into NCEES.?ÿ
PASSED.?ÿ I'm so stoked.?ÿ?ÿ
Onto State!!!
Congratulations!!!!

This, no doubt, is a very good thread encouraging other lurkers.
Well done.
