It takes a special kind of woman, to be the wife of a surveyor.
I tip my cap, to those unsung heroes, that put up with us.

Well, I guess, it's really not an event. It's a coming of greater awareness, that my wife's support, is and has been invaluable. I was just praying, and considering, and I'm just thankful. It's ok to have an epiphany, while considering.

Yea my wife rolls her eyes everytime I take a detour to see an old project just to say, "I helped build that", oh and not to mention the gentle slowing de-acceleration when as we get closer in line with a valley fence line, and I look down it and then accelerate again as we get past it. It's funny the things we do all the time that 99% of people just scratch their heads and wonder what is wrong with us. But it is the wives that have to live with it.

It appears from various photos shared here that most of them are much better looking than their spouses.

Nate

Couldn't agree more Natester. Me 'n SWMBO been married for 47 years. Met her at 16, married her at 18. First time I saw her it was love at first site. Don't know how she has put up with me all these years. If I was her I would have killed me long ago! 😉

My only beef after all these years is she won't allow me to bring anything whatsoever that resembles a construction tool inside the house. That "Cease and Desist" dictum arrived subsequent my attempt to locate wall stud so as to hang a mirror. The stud finder was defective from the factory, at least in my opinion.

The one thing I miraculously discovered during marriage was how to make them stop talking. (NATE is excluded from this) Here's how: When they start chattering about something important such as Kim Kardashian deciding to have a breast implanted on her head, simply look at your wife and announce that you're horny. Works every time.

Have a great Memorial Day!

Curious what "works every time"?
Your " miraculous discovery " has at least 2 outcomes.

Can't agree more with the sentiments shared here.
A special woman indeed.

I think they all are like that. Nothing beats using your knuckles, a hammer, and a nail. You find a stud in same amount of time with less aggregation. The mirror is hung alongside 6 or 7 other small holes in the wall.

Richard, son you are still too young to understand.

Maybe Uncle Paden could enlighten us in a story related to his kin. 😉

You are right. My wife does not know who Kim Kardashian is, so that would narrow the choices.

This is a curse. I cannot walk down any sidewalk without hunting. I catch large amounts of hell for getting excited about finding PKs, mags, spikes, etc... It is beyond me how to turn that off. I'm convinced it can't be done.

I'm blessed beyond measure (pun intended). Luckily mine grew up with her father being a surveyor, so she understands my quirks. But she has no desire to work with me. Very guilty of seeking out survey monuments.
