I'm in the market for a new briefcase. Has to be big enough to fit files, data collector, templates, pencils, blah, blah.

I just put my foot through the one I salvaged from the trash six years ago made from genuine fake leather. I affectionately referred to it as 'the football'. Had a pair of handcuffs attached to the handle at one point. If anyone asked, I told them that was where we kept 'the codes'. I'm afraid it's going back to where I found it.

What do you use?

Looking on ebay found this. Looks like it would fit the ticket, and it's real leather! Sigh, I have arrived.

Just because I'm paranoid, doesn't mean they aren't out to get me.

I replaced my lleather (immitation) briefcase last year. It lasted over 10 years and was petty ratty looking. I bought a Targus topload 17" CityGear bag. It's nylon and has plastic zippers. I'd rather have metal zippers, but it is well built and I like it's pocket and divider arrangement. I think they have them in Target stores if you want to check it out.

Time will tell on how well it'll hold up.

I've used a Samsonite 6" hardside for 40 years.

Cheers,

Gave up on using a briefcase many years ago. Probably around the same time I cut up my last credit card. Just call me a rebel.

Why does that not surprise me. 😀
Just call me old fashioned.
For some of us more organizationally challenged,
I'll take all the help I can get.
My one credit card is a necessary evil.

Just because I'm paranoid, doesn't mean they aren't out to get me.

Derek

I wonder if we have the same type. Mine is about the same age and it is in the backseat of my truck right now. It is brown with aluminum edges in the center and a molded plastic handle.

Do you never leave your pasture? I didn't think it was possible to make travel reservations without a credit card.

This is a Briggs and Riley I've had for 10 years, best bag ever imho. They really thought of everything. I consider it a mobile office. Room for everything including a 17" laptop. Lifetime warranty and free, no questions asked repair if needed. Even if an airline screws it up. $188 well spent.

They can either take my money or I can go on down the road. The choice is theirs. I thought reservations were reserved for pre-Columbian ethnicities.

Mine is black but it sounds like the same.

It is made on an aluminum frame with fiberglass body and plastic handle.

When in Stratford, Ontario I saw the factory store was open and purchased another one.

They both have a three number rolling security lock.

( I think the factory is closed now )

Cheers,

Derek

Surveyor's Backpack

North Face Backpack

Has places for laptop, DC, calculators, cables, ammo...

Not the most professional looking, but it does the job and is constructed well, mine takes a lot of abuse and still looks great

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you...
