I'm not sure how I received this email, even though I'll travel I prefer to survey in the State that I am licensed. Maybe one of you folks can help this person out.

Subject: Need Survey Done in Cleveland, TX

Hello,

I’m looking to get a survey, with metes and bounds, done on a house in Cleveland, TX (Montgomery County) that sits on 2.77 acres. Let me know if this is something you can do, how much you charge, how soon you can do it and if you accept credit cards. According to the present owner, the area that needs to be surveyed is already “cleared out.” If you don’t do this kind of work or work the Cleveland area but know someone who does, can you forward this information on to him.

Thank you,

Landon Rothstein

I wouldn't survey that for love or money.

Lots of my family is from Cleveland, not that I keep up with them. With no existing description, the sky is the limit for this puppy. However, in my home county, something like this may go for $800-1000 plus tax, pending a decent description.

If you think just because you are heading south into TExas to make a survey that you will have a holiday in a warmer climate. Still 26°F, cloud covered sky and a few snow flakes fluttering around today.

I'm not leaving the county I am in for that.

I got the email as well.

The handy work of some barely Clever individual. It is in no doubt related to mining email addresses from this website and similar sites.

Dan, I got a copy of your stamp and signature from The GIS web site, and made a sticky to go on the paper bag plat. By the way, which grocery stores are offering paper as a bagging option. I am low on plat media.

Cleveland, Texas isn't in Montgomery County, either. It's located in Liberty County, unless that north wind that came through here a day or so ago was stronger than I suspected. =)

Steve,
Can I write off the expense of said stamp and paper bags on my Arkansas Taxes?

(By the way...was it my PS stamp, my GISP stamp, my GIMP stamp, or my DDSM certificate of ultimate seal of approval?)

I went by there in a blaze of glory and blazed all the line trees and set bearing tree tags from all the corners.

Rest assured I adjusted the tree paint application rate for temperature, humidity, barometric pressure and tree species and age.
