Something that's been in my mind is the end of life status of the Trimmy S3, 6 and 8 total stations, given that the latest run is the 5, 7, and 9. Does anyone know if the latter instruments have superseded the former and whether the EOL clock (10 year?) has started for the former?

It's been several years now since the S5, S7, and S9 replaced the 3, 6, and 8, so I would have to believe we're well into the EOL cycle. The S6 came out in 2005 and had a solid ten year run. I still prefer it over the little bit of experience I have with an S7, it seemed like it tracked better.
