Anyone know where I can find a manhole hook for opening this kind of lid??ÿ My hook only has a single prong, and it looks like this kind needs two.
Cool find!?ÿ I've opened thousands of MHs but I've never seen one like that.?ÿ I use the tool below when I need to open up a bunch of raised MHs.?ÿ It's easy on the back and works well to get the lids off.?ÿ Using it to get the lids back on is takes practice.?ÿ A long handled hook with offset handle is a more efficient tool.?ÿ?ÿ

I am old and have never seen one like that.?ÿ Are you pulling our leg with photo shop? You need a 3-man crew.?ÿ It might be a double-barrel manhole where water service conflicted with a gas line. Sounds good, but I have no idea what I am talking about.

I'm pretty sure that Jim's picture is a GE street view capture exhibiting the photo stitching?ÿ distortion so common of that medium.?ÿ
I did some topo for an engineer designing a railroad siding and trackage into a proposed rail car maintenance building.?ÿ When I got the cad layout of the completed plans for layout, I noticed the sanitary manhole I had located had been moved out from under the proposed tracks.?ÿ WTF??ÿ "Oh, nobody ever opens those, don't get nervous..."
