> Mighty fine photos. How do you find the time to put this all together?

1952 thankx ... wanted to see what Kotz looked like back then compared to now.
Didn't they call that "the Loach"?
I never got a ride in the 500 but the UH-1B Iroquois will "curdle your milk".
I called it, and still do, a "rattle trap". A ball-shaker of the first order.
If you have the 'Nam stripes you know.
Thanks for sharing some of the best photos I've seen full stop    :pizza:
Daryl,
Does the Anchorage Int. Airport look basically the same as it did about 25-30 years ago, or do you know? I had family (still have some actually) that moved there in the 1950s. Most have moved back to the lower 48 in the last 20 years.
Nice pics, thanks for sharing.
Gorgeous photos man. Smashing job. Hope you'll let me buy you a beer next time your passing through my neck of the woods. Cheers! Willy

The Anchorage airport has had some major renovations over the years ... the entire terminal area was basically rebuilt almost 10 years ago ... new parking structures and a train platform. When I first came to Alaska in 84 the airport was pretty ramshackle funky but now its pretty flashy and modern with stuffed animals scattered about.
I'm sure the runways have upgraded as well ... with major Fed ex, UPS and other cargo hubs at one end.

Thanks Daryl.
BTW, I've been to the Portland restaurant/bar "Kell's". I had a friend of mine that passed away shortly before visiting there and just had to go there because his nickname was "Kell". Cool little place.
I worked on that project a bit. The wait for a train at that station might be a painfully long one though since the pork that paid for the project didn't include ... tracks. :-O
