If I were providing the model for a Topcon GX-60 controller would it be a 3D DTM or Model in dwg or dgn format or is it a special file generated by software for the controller?
Also, do you provide the model for the finished grade and the operator sets his offset distance depending on what he is grading- sub-base, sub-grade, finished grade, etc? Or do you create a separate model for each grade?

They need a Topcon TN3 file. But can convert from a LandXML surface file.
Most often finished grade will do. But if there are many different subgrade depths, or if it is a highway with roadside ditches, then contractor may want subgrade model.
