I can create and send frequency files for Trimble 4700 and Trimble 4800 receivers that can be installed by the end user utilizing Trimble's Commset.exe utility.

The fee for this service will be a US$25 contribution to SurveyorConnect.com/BeerLeg.com for the first radio-module serial number, and an additional US$15 contribution for each additional radio-module serial number. I will send the files via email attachment when Wendell confirms receipt of the contribution.

The radio modules in the Trimble 4700 and 4800 will accept up to 20 frequencies. It is up to the requesting user to make certain the frequencies they specify are compatible with the frequency range and channel spacing of their radio module(s).

Little-known fact - The serial number of the radio module in a Trimble 4700 or 4800 receiver is independent of the serial number of the receiver. In almost all cases the ten-digit serial number of the radio module is all zeros. This usually makes it easier to generate the frequency files because it is not necessary to make a separate frequency file for each receiver serial number.

You can confirm the serial number(s) of the radio module(s) by connecting with Commset.exe, then click the "Details" button.

Users can obtain Commset.exe Ver 1.18 by downloading and installing the Ver 1.30 update package (4748v130.exe) for Trimble 4700 and 4800 from the Trimble web site. From www.trimble.com, follow the hyperlink path "Support & Training" > "Support A-Z" > "4700" > "Downloads" > "v1.30 - 4700, Firmware (English)".

Make certain you can connect to the radio module in your receiver(s) with Commset.exe and read the radio-module serial number(s) before ordering frequency files. Remember that Commset.exe is a legacy program from the days of Windows 98 and built-in serial ports; it may be necessary to run Commset.exe on legacy computer equipment. If you cannot connect to the radio module with Commset.exe it will not be possible to install the new frequency file.

Disclaimer - I do not have access to any Trimble 4700 or 4800 receivers and cannot/will not make any representation or recommendation as to whether the radio modules in those receivers will successfully receive the CMR/CMR+ broadcast from any specific radio modem.

i have 3 4700,with internal radio,
2 have frecuency on 464.550
but this have a frecuency 440.00 to 450.00
could add 464.5550 on this 4700??

464.550 MHz is outside the 440-450-MHz range of the radio module shown in the screen capture, so that frequency cannot be added to that radio module.

I happen to have on hand a used 460-470-MHz / 25-kHz radio board for the Trimble 4700. It was working when removed, so it is expected it works fine now. The Trimble part number for the Trimble Trimmark IIe consists of five numerals followed by a hyphen and two more numerals.

The last two numerals indicate the radio modem's frequency range and channel spacing as follows:

-15 = 146-174 MHz / 25 kHz
-17 = 146-174 MHz / 12.5 kHz
-41 = 406-430 MHz / 25 kHz
-43 = 406-430 MHz / 12.5 kHz
-45 = 438-470 MHz / 25 kHz
-47 = 438-470 MHz / 12.5 kHz

To the best of my knowledge, the only way to see the actual frequencies programmed into a Trimmark II/IIe is via software used to program the Motorola GM300 radio, which is the radio portion of the Trimble Trimmark IIe.

Or you could use a radio scanner and a bit of hit-and-miss time to determine the broadcast frequency for each active channel in a specific Trimmark IIe.

If you do not have access to a Motorola dealer, the Motorola GM300 radio is popular in the amateur-radio community. Those users likely are capable of frequency programming, so that is another option.

To obtain the tools to do this yourself you could do some searching and find things like Motorola Radius GM300 Radio Doctor. That is not the official Motorola service software, but it reportedly works. Note that you will also need an interface device to connect your computer to the microphone jack on the GM300.

0220173147 is a serial number, not a part (or product) number. It was only a six-in-100 coincidence that the last two digits were the same as one of the possible codes that indicate frequency range and channel spacing.

Find the number in the XXXXX-XX format - that is the part number.

The frequencies can be in any order; they do not need to increase with the channel number.

Search eBay for "GM300 programming" and you will find plenty of inexpensive programming cables. Some of them come with software that is supposed to connect to the GM300.
