You may remember last November I was surveying in front of a large credit union and heard an explosion out back with a cloud of black smoke. A fire truck responded and just as quickly left, which mystified me.
Today, surveying in front of the same large credit union (this time they need topo to rebuild the parking and drives), and from out back, "Bang - bang bang bang - bang bang bang bang bang - bang." I called in a shots fired and eventually two officers arrived in the alley (it took a while so now I was surveying out back.) They asked who I was and after I explained they wandered off to talk to neighbors. Then a female scream and sirens, and more sirens, and more sirens. When I left there were seven police cars in the alley, and as before I have no idea what was going on. Maybe on the news tonight.
ps Geez it was hot working on that asphalt today.
