Nice pics, Shelby!! The golden mountain is beautiful... I also like the tripod on top of the rocks. hehehe 🙂

I really need to get over and see THAT side of Oregon sometime!! Farthest I've been is Pendelton & Bend.

Nice photos! It looked like it was tough to find an open spot for the GPS with all that tree cover;-)

Off subject, but how is the Dodge holding up. I just bought a 2004 3/4 ton Quad Cab with a turbo Cummins and a little over 100,000 miles on it.

Nice series of pics,
some strange setups, but I like them.

Nice solution with the solar panels!

Dodge is doing well, 11 years old, 243K and counting. Only major repairs have been new rear axle bearings and a rebuild of the transmission which only required new brass parts, gears and bearings were fine.

Not as familiar with all the little quirks of the 2003 and newer trucks, BUT it should have a lot of life in it, you may be due for new fuel injectors, those tend to wear out faster on the common rail motors since they fire several times per power stroke, that is one way they get the motor to have less emissions and less noise.

That project had very little tree cover, the one the following week had a lot more, I may post some photos of that one too, NOT all of the Pacific NW is tree free!

I remember when you posted several pics of your trailer in the past, probably on the old forum. Its a pretty slick setup.

What has been using that 1916 cap as a rubbing post, since the outside is only polished and worn away, it must not be up sticking up to high or it would not plumb.

Great Photos Shelby!

The high lonesome country... I love it. Back to my desk tomorrow for what seems like the 6,000th consecutive day. ~ sigh ~

Great Photos Shelby!

Thanks guys. Yes, the high setup seemed the easiest working solo without setting two points and trying to do some sort of offset, if you can, why not, pretty easy with the ATV as the stepping stool 🙂

I had a setup the next week that was one of the toughest ones I have done in a while, a BM in the side of a very steep cut bank, no footing and no way to stand up, fortunately there was a witness post to brace against.
