Sooo who's idea was this? I want my legs to be as bright as possible, the farther away I can see them the better I like it.
Camo sells, I guess they thought a tripod in camo would be a good idea too.

It's for the surveyor that doesn't want to attract attention to it. Saw a roll of camo flagging once ... Orange is bad enough, after a winter in Ak, it turns brown. Got sent a box of forest green flagging once also.

I would have to tie pink ribbon all over them just to find them. Even out here in the desert.
Do they have a Ghillie Suit (tent) for my GPS Base Station too?
Of course it has to be "invisable" to microwaves also....
🙂

Hmmmm...you might need more than one of them...desert, woodland, urban, etc....
Now you know why it's a give away contest!
the danged Leica is already the color of the background, don't need camo flagging LOL.
I turn the stakeout lights on, makes it much easier to see the instrument when looking for the next traverse point.
If they want to give it to me then I'll take it.
I gave Beerleg dot com a plug in the survey.
Not to make this a P & R thread, but they are giving them away because they aren't selling them anymore.....the war is winding down.

Must be a non-recording state thing.

While you are at it, giving SECO your learned assistance, would you mind telling 'em that the radius of the wheels shown here http://www.surveying.com/products/details.asp?prodID=90557-050 need to be increased so Kent and I can pull the fully attached EDM along, with an appropriate attachment to the survey chariot ?
Think of the setup time saved !

Might be useful if your trying to setup a discrete gps base.
My thoughts exactly.
I worked with a guy who used green flagging - he was colorblind
and for some reason it stuck out to him. Pink or orange sure
don't look like leaves to me. We used twice as much because
we both had to flag the lines.
I knew a color blind surveyor.
Yellow caps look brown to him; he had a tough time finding them.
I've worked with a few color blind surveyors.
One claimed that he saw flo pink better than orange. He would tie 4 to 5 feet streaming from everything, nails, every 50 ft along fence and thru trees, monuments and so on. I think he was a simply a flaging nut.
Actually it did not really matter the color, they all admitted it was the movement of the flagging in a breeze that they saw.
