The parani radios work well. With 5dbi aerials they will reach 500m and further with good conditions. Set the GTS to 9600,8,n,1. goto programs Page2 , press F4 external link. Press F2 settings. Goto 1 set CABLE. Goto 2 set 9600, 8, 1, n. ETX, Hi, RecB. must use rec B.

Set your data recorder to cable, com1 and set 9600,8,n,1. Pair the parani in standard mode default 9600,8,n,1. Plug into data recorder com port. Plug in the other to the GTS com cable, connect to port. You must be in external link to comunicate under Ext Link press 1.

The parani act as a long cable to communicate with the data recorder.

I'm using a Topcon GPT 8203A. I paired the parani adapters, unplugged the satel radios, plugged in the paranis and went to work. I never had to change any settings.

No. At the bottom of this thread is a couple pictures of my setup. The Gun and DC think that they are plugged together with cord. The orange thing on the cable is the Null Modem. Will not work without it.

The RC2 works exactly the same as when we were using the Satel radios up to about 2,200'. Farther than that distance we had to control the robot with the arrow keys. I went as far as I could go (which was 5,340') and was still able to control the robot and take shots using the parani.

T.C. Carroll "It's the difference between right and wrong!"

I am using the same cable that came with the robot that plugs in at the gun and into the satel radio. No gender changer or null modem adapter needed. If I use a standard data collector cable I have to use a null modem gender changer.
