Not me but my "rodman" did. As I was standing on the north side of a barbed wire fence over a control point my rodman (a project engineer I was helping out for the day) put on a hazmat suit, crossed the fence wearing his scintillometer. I asked what about me?

He said I was safe since I was on the north side of the fence. Very Funny!!!! This was a mine reclamation project.?ÿ

My next door neighbor can tell you all about them, he worked for years in a number of plants.

I was setting/testing standards for a water sampling project for the EPA.

Works well for Alpha/Beta contamination.

HAZWOPER 40 work has them available, but usually you're wearing dosimetry badges, so there's that.

Sorry I'm not asking about a Scintillation Counter. I'm interested in a Scintillometer which can be used to measure the refractive index
