Is there a place in the U.S. where i can get new battery for the wild/leica rec module installed?
Surveyorbatttery.com. Strictly speaking they aren't in the US, but you ship and receive from the US and pay in US dollars. I've used them with very satisfactory results.?ÿ
Their website includes the following proviso about Rec Mods..
"Most rec modules have now reached the age where both data and software batteries need to be replaced. When the software battery goes dead, all programming is lost and module will no longer communicate with the equipment...even if the data battery is replaced.?ÿIf your instrument is giving an "Error 76", unfortunately this is an issue we have not yet been able to correct and you should not send us modules with this error."
