What the heck do people (GISers, permitters, reviewers) mean when they say the PLS.?ÿ
"I checked your location to the PLS?ÿand it doesn't match"
"I can send you our lines from the PLS"
I can't get any of them to tell me what the?ÿPLS?ÿis that they are talking about.?ÿ
I ask if they mean Earthpoint, GCDB, county GIS, what the heck is this?ÿPLS?ÿthey are getting numbers from.?ÿ
What does this mean to a GISer, no one can define it.?ÿ
I can define it and I can give out numbers that relate to it, but none of them ever has done either.?ÿ
Words mean things, acronyms mean things.?ÿ
I don't think that acronym means what you think it means.?ÿ
Client couldn't understand why I couldn't just use the aerial view of the county GIS to determine where the lines are.?ÿ He thought he could hold a copy of the county GIS with aerial overlay in one hand and his smart phone in the other until it showed him being in the same spot.?ÿ That must be where the property line is located.?ÿ Right????
