Need to replace the Protective Skin on an TDS Environmental Case for an HP48.
The original one is severely yellowed and has a couple wear holes over some keys.

Anyone know of a vendor who has replacement skins, or sheets of skin to cut to size?

When I replaced mine, I went down to Hobby Lobby and bought the same exact soft clear vinyl sheets (skin) and double sided tape and the replacement lasted longer than the original. I have also replaced the hard plastic window and replaced the dark plastic cover template (the thing that has the TDS logo and "Environmental Case" written on it) with a thick mil film (mylar) cut to the exact size and contact cemented down and that also worked well. Still have some of both left over if you get into a bind and can't find it.

For the hardshell SMI type I have used plexiglass

The Ziplock heavy duty freezer bags work for the softcase

Sometimes the cases show up on EBAY

Independent Design and Production Inc. (www.idpi.biz)will repair them. Used them numerous times and they do a good job.
