2008 Carlson Standalone (autocad drafting enginge)
My hp 430 crashed, broken belts and while I am waiting to get it fix I need to take plotting to FED-EX-Kinkos. When they plot my files the wipeouts are not recognized and they are replaced with black boxes. Any work arounds that do not involve trimming the enttities?
I'm not at my drafting pc, but I think the command "tframes" will toggle the visibility of the wipeout raster images. If you can, select the raster images and change them such that they plot with 0% screening. I make them color 255, which I have set to 0% screening in my plot style. Good luck

Frequently when I send an AutoCAD drawing to the print house I use I will do so as a .PDF File. Otherwise I use a Plot configuration specifically for their OCE Plotter. My generic HP plotter configuration does a poor job on their plotter..Can the Kinkos people give you plotter information to configure your plot to their machine?
type command - WIPEOUT
type command - F (for frames)
type command - On (for on)
this should turn all of the frames around your wipeouts on
then go around and manually delete the frame boxes around the text
this may not be the best solution but it is one work around i have found for contour wipeouts
are you plotting to PDF first? if you plot to a PDF using something like SourceForge PDF creator it should retain all of your original plot settings and maybe the wipeout problem will go away on its own.
good luck!
Currently I use Cutepdf witer and it works great on my plotter before it broke down.
When I go to kinko's and they use they latest and greatest all the wipeouts print filled in,i.e black boxes. So it is the way their software reads the pdf I have creted.... or their OCE PLOTTER.

When a pdf file is sent from Adobe Acrobat some print drivers do not recognize the wipeout as a background object, so it gets treated as a solid colored object. One method that seems to work for me is to turn on the "Print as Image" switch in Acrobat. That way the print driver only receives a rasterized version of the drawing.
I seem to remember in the good old days that we created .plt ( plot files) that were able to be printed by a third party printer.
Print to PDF should show the screen view.

Sounds like their plotter doesn't support raster.
