Located a few miles of track earlier this week outside Pittsburgh.

Locating a siding while waiting for the train to go by.

Along the Allegheny Valley Expressway (Route 28).

Looking toward Millvale, PA from the tracks.

The 40th Street Bridge toward Lawrenceville.

Station B131 along the tracks.

Start of the 33rd Street Railroad Bridge looking toward Downtown Pittsburgh.
Nice,
what's the ratio of spent hours field/office for such jobs?
Chr.
For my portion of the work, the office part is far less than the field. That day the field time was between 4 and 5 hours. The downloading, processing, putting the data into a usable format was only about 30 minutes or so. This is largely because of using GPS with the trolley and not having to combine multiple lines in the processing software like I would if I would have used the robot. I hand off the data to our engineer and he does his thing. I don't see it again until a final design is done. I really can't tell you how long he takes to do his part.
I know those tracks. I used to pedal down along there to downtown a lot when I lived in the North Hills. Did you stop in the Grist Mill Brewery in Millvale?
Not that day, but after the week I've had I probably should have!
