I've got a chance to buy a used Nikon NPL 350. Any pros or cons regarding this instrument? Thanks.

Nice lightweight gun, strong EDM and intuitive interface. When the battery dies it just goes, no "last few shots before the battery dies" time, so if you expect to work long days in remote environs you may want to get a back up battery which is a expensive proposition, I am guessing, as it is built into the handle.

It has clutches which I like.

Good for work in the woods.

Very good gun. No question.

If the EDM does break, it is very costly to fix. That being said, it's not common.

I've had my NPL-359 for 12 years and it's a great gun. I love the onboard DC too. I bought a spare battery (pricey, $350), but the batteries lasted 10 years. Recelled on with regular off-the shelf duracell rechargables for $15 and they work as well as the original batteries.

The only thing bad thing is the reflectorless range is only 200-300 feet (sometimes less w/ black, wet surfaces).
