Has anyone noticed the NGS Data Explorer doesn't seem to be working today? Went to retrieve some benchmark information and it can't find any Mark's in my area of interest, which I know there are several.

I've been using it all day, and it appears to be working fine (Nevada).

I'm in Montana. It gives me the error Download failed parseerror then goes to the map and no Mark's are found. I know there are Mark's there. Try Hardy Creek, My and see if it works for you, would you?

Is there a work around the NGS Data Explorer to get data sheets?

Got to "Survey Mark Datasheets" and you will get a bunch of different options.

I just tried USGS Quad Name, and it worked fine.

If you have an approximate Lat/Lon, then "radial search" might be your best bet.

Yep used the Lat Long I found on Google Earth and that got me the benchmark I need. Thanks Loyal. Just have to verify it with the cap inscription now because the Lat Long locations in this area aren't too accurate.

I usually like the search options on the ngs site better than the explorer.

An option for Android phones is BenchMap found in Google Play. Don't know about iPhone.. It shows the marks in the immediate area where the map is centered, is color coded for last found/not found, and lets you bring up the data sheet.
