I was driving out of town the other day and one of the county surveyors and i had a 35mph window conversation about how he had seen one of my videos on youtube????
Last November I had 30 subscribers and they were all family and friends. I got diagnosed a type 1 diabetic around Thanksgiving and when I got out of the hospital I started filming my work days. I have 200 subscribers now and I would imagine yall are most of them because my ears were burning????
Anyways I work in Oregon mostly for private timber companies but I cut my teeth under some amazing PLSs doing subdivisions and construction staking on the Oregon coast and some big projects on Oregon St University campus when i started surveying in 06.
I just quit my only other social media site Ifish.net, which is the best fishing site on the planet to learn if you are interested . It just ran its course for me . On to new pastures and instead of face space or insta spam, figured I'd try this comumity. I have experience with Leica robots, nikon and topcon total stations, about every data collector since the sokkia sd33 so Maybe I can contribute some hardware knowledge.?ÿ
I appreciate all the comments positive or negative, I think it makes people think and argue which used to be a good thing. Anyways thanks for having me here and thanks for watching my videos whether you like them or not I put 0 effort into them so that is what I expect in return????
Welcome from North Carolina.?ÿ I like your videos, they remind me of when I started surveying back in the 60's for our local power company running transmission lines and property surveys in the mountains of North and South Carolina.?ÿ I have set a many backsights as you have shown in your videos.?ÿ Now at 73 I only get to the mountains occasionally to work, I could not begin to keep up with you.

Here is 15 days in the field on one job this year and I probably had a week into it a couple years ago before we got pulled for more pressing matters.
I don't usually advertise the videos because I put such little effort into editing but thanks for watching???
Welcome!
@jed thanks for posting the video. ?ÿAt about 7:45 you said, ??whoop this job out real quick.? ?ÿMade me grin.
Then about 14:45, ??here we are, there it is.?
I wonder how to make this show up on my YouTube history of watched videos...?
Looks like almost no fun at all to this flat land fair weather scaredy cat solo surveyor here in central Indiana. ?ÿ
Carry on brother.
I got a new job today and made a video, it's some nasty country.?ÿ
