My next task is to record all the unrecorded corners in 4 Sections for some new Tracts. I grab my chart to see how many of the corners I tied into have been recorded, it's easy to check since not a corner in the whole interior of the township has ever been recorded, so I guess my task is simple to figure out, I get to record all of them. ?ÿ
We are supposed to report all of them in every case, even if the ties are 100 % accurate. ?ÿI guess this is to provide assurance that the monument and ties were still there on the date you arrived on scene. ?ÿA little extra comfort for the next person needing those ties. ?ÿWhat I hate is when you go out say one month after the last submission to find certain ties quite obviously were not there any time in the past five years.
I know one county clerk that would be really upset if a corner kept getting re-recorded over and over when nothing changes.
But each area of the country is different.
Once is enough here, unless you need to fix, reset or do something with the existing monument.
