There were always stories about the old TDC (pre 1980). It was a little rougher than things have now become. Who knows, they were just stories told.

We surveyed for and designed a water line along a road from a new water tank.?ÿ All was approved and construction began.?ÿ As the excavators were going along the side of the road and old man came out and asked the contractor, "You do know there's graves right there don't you?"?ÿ SCREEECH!!!!?ÿ?ÿ Everything comes to a halt and we were called back.?ÿ Apparently a previous owner thought that he could get a better price for his property if all those pesky headstones just went away.?ÿ It rained pretty heavy the next day and the depressions form the graves were visible.?ÿ A quick redesign and a couple of road bores later the contractor was able to finish.?ÿ The county now (didn't at the time) has a database of all known graveyards.
