I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for showing your support and offering feedback to Mr. Ohana at O-Tags. They have decided to advertise with RPLS Today by placing an ad in our Leaderboard zone (which rotates top and bottom of all pages) plus a Footer Logo in our Sponsorship grid in the footer of all pages. Our thanks to Mr. Ohana, O-Tags and everyone here for continued support of RPLS Today!
I can tell you that my time surveying in California would have been far more efficient with a tool such as this. We used to set lead, brass tack and tag on the top of curbs at an extension of property lines in new subdivisions in lieu of front property corners (it is standard practice there). The process of establishing the location, drilling the hole, creating a countersink, and setting the nail & tag was time-consuming, despite regular practice. A product such as O-Tag's offering would have been a blessing!
If you'd like to find out more about O-Tags, please click on one of the Leaderboard ads at the top or bottom of the page, or click the smaller banner in the footer grid.

I think that is a great idea, one which a certain property owner in Virginia is wishing was standard practice there. Probably at least a couple of surveyors will be as well.

I think the guy that started this thread should get a free sample of O-Tags...just sayin'...lol.
O-Tags says,
That's a "CHECK". I will send a PM for more information.
I would be curious to hear what your thoughts are in setting this type of monument that has been around for over 100 years here in California. The concrete would need to be removed in order to loose this monument.
This should resolve your missing monuments caused by shovels or scrapers.
Thanks again and let us all know.
