pardon for posting this on the forum here, but I'm really put out. I wanted some input from board members on an important surveying topic.

I logged in and composed a post that took a while to do, during which I got a few phone calls.

I finally got it done to my satisfaction, and hit "create thread" but by this time was logged out.

Now I can't go through the prior pages and find my post, so is it lost for good?

I'd think that it is. Has happened to me way to many times on other sites. For lengthy, important posts, I've taken to composing in Word or another program to avoid losing my hard-composed message and then cut and paste into the forum. Sometimes when I'd have to retype a message, the second draft would be better written. Other times it would be much shorter.

Yup! I've done the Word thing as well to prevent this.

It only happened a couple of times before I realized what I needed to do.
