I have been attaching these signs to t-post when I set a new PLSS corner or next to an existing one, but the plastic deteriorates in a year or two.?ÿ I've been looking for these in metal, but with no luck.?ÿ Anyone use something similar, or have any suggestions where I can find these in metal instead of plastic??ÿ Something like the BLM corner signs would be perfect.
I've googled till my wrists hurt.?ÿ No luck.
I had good luck ordering metal signs from safteysign.com?ÿ?ÿ I ordered some custom "NO TRESPASSING" last year.
Try this:

edit: pardon my eyesight...these are plastic and you were wanting metal...
....contact cement??ÿ ??ÿ
All plastic is not equal, some types are worthy and lasts a lifetime.
Maybe cheap plastic is my problem.?ÿ I would prefer metal, but I might have to give these Bernsten ones a try.

Forestry-suppliers has these and BT Tags-
?ÿ
We use Metal BT tags for BT tags-
?ÿon our RW corners- we buy 10 ft sticks of 1" metal?ÿconduit ( we buy it in bulk for discount)- cut it in half and put a reflective sticker on it that we have made in our sign shop -- same size a bumper sticker.?ÿ we end up with a cost of about $3.10 per witness post.

Carsonite is an option
?ÿNDSPLS has some that I bet are exactly what you would want, find out where they are procured from.
You can order custom aluminum signs from Berntsen. I have been ordering 4" x 6" Aluminum signs (0.063 aluminum) from them that read
"PLEASE PROTECT NEARBY SURVEY MARKER"
"SUCH AND SUCH ?ÿSURVEYING"
"PHONE NUMBER"
You can choose whatever lettering you would like and they are fairly thick and sturdy signs.
I attach them to 5' steel posts I purchase at the local hardware store.

Here in Wisconsin, many utilize Badger State Industries: http://buybsi.com/
BSI is a work training program for the corrections system. Quality products at a reasonable price. Maybe your state has a similar program.
They make that exact sign out of high-grade aluminum with highly-reflective vinyl and they last extremely well. Been using them around 20 years in the County I mainly work and returning to some of the first ones used, they look like new.
