Hi all,

I'm looking for a surveyor in the Elkhart, IN area. Looking for boundary, topo, and possible partition. It is not for me but for a colleague.

Is Indiana a recording state? It seems like maybe yes but records aren't commonly available online?

Thanks for any pointers!

Best regards, Eli

Hope it's not far enough north of Elkhart to be in the contested border between Indiana and Michigan. The following link focuses on Ray, Michigan/Indiana. I love the inclusion of a photo of a cow resting in the shade near the border because it is on the wrong side of the fence. Must be related to some of my cattle.

The story quotes Jack Owens, who is a regular attendee at the Surveyors Historical Society gatherings and someone I've talked to.
