At a C1/4 position. This one fits well to a Math magical position, there isn't any record for it.

Hi, Moe. Cool picture; glad that math has some successes. Off topic, but I ordered some HSM ammo and got it today. I didn't know that HSM is in Montana until I looked at the box.

It's not Cowboy stuff, so it won't smoke up the range.

Is HSM a big company?

I hadn't heard of them before. We do have a local ammo manufacturer, and a gun manufacturer. When I grow up I want to work in the gun factory.

@mightymoe

It turns out that HSM stands for Hunting Shack Munitions. It's in Stevensville.

It was right next to a thousand year old looking fence?  Easy peasy.  😎

I'm guessing that the stone was set by a moonlighting GLO surveyor long ago. The fence in question shows up on the quad sheet which is circ 1965. It could be traced further back from old photos, not really necessary for this one, it's within 1' of a prorate.

DUH!!!

The original survey was done in 1881, a local surveyor and rancher ended up owning the SE1/4 of the section. He was busy from 1882 until the early 1900's and it's not a leap to figure out he set that stone for his own property. And did an excellent job. The same family still owns the property.
