Hello, on a Leica TCR 1103 Plus total station, when you press the "on" button, the display lights up for 1 second and then goes off. What could be the cause?

The motherboard backup battery is charged. Are there any other batteries to check?

I should say so. I think that one uses a GEB121 battery. That will be a black cube about 1 1/2" x 1 3/4" x 3 1/2"

Have you tried to plug into an external power source.  The GEB121 could be dead.  They are just an NiMH camcorder battery.  They used to be available everywhere.  Amazon has two for $52.
