Anyone use them how do you like it need some insight
Yes. What do you want to know?
Yes.
Loved them.
Not the "friendliest" interface. An acquired taste.

Leica makes good gear and good software. what's eating ya'? i might be able to help
Just a question.
I have used both TGO and LGO, although certainly not proficient in either.
My problem is in bringing the grid coordinates to ground. In TGO, I can designate a particular coordinate to use as the "base point", whether it is because it happens to be near the center of my project, or at a mean elevation, or because it is an NGS brass cap (and therefore within the tolerable 0.04' - LOL). It appears that in LGO, I have no choice as to the basis. After bringing grid to ground, I then have to translate the coordinates from the point IT used to the point I want.
Is there a way to FORCE LGO to use the point I want?
If I go back to this project later to add on some more points, how can I make sure that the new points will be added and adjusted on the same point as the first work done, and therefore the same scale factors being used?
thanx,
Geezer

Leica gave me one and I sold it. I liked the taste of cash much better :hi5:
Use Leica GPS exclusively. What system are you looking at or trying? The VIVA units are nothing like what Leica has put out before.
Got a GPS900 (did not receive it as a gift, had to pay for it...) I like it. It does what it said it would do. Excellent radios, these satellines. Did some tests, side by side with another manufacturer RTK GPS (with built in radios), it picked up where the other one wouldn't. And the antenna is located near the controller (not on top of pole). Very minimum test, so don't take my word too strongly. Having said that, radio link is never an issue, if I am within the range specs of 1500 metres, I get signal.
About LGO, I bypass as much as I can. By creating format file (*.frt), the need of LGO is reduced on many RTK jobs. A bit annoying is the multitude of files that the controller creates, but a guy gets use to it "well, that's Leica's way..."
When it comes to this manufacturer, I am in 2006-2008 technology.
Very reliable, Leica.
