Colleagues-

The "A" area of "Store Points" on the data Allegro data collector started to function only at the right hand side of the "A" when tapped.

Now it does not function at all when tapped .

Can you advise please on a solution ?

Thank you,

Derek

I'd try the initial screen registration routine, where you tap the x's with your pen or finger. It may help.

I assume you've already replaced the screen protector?

Derek

Not a permanent solution but something that might keep you working,

Instead of using the A button you can go to the 'Equip' tab and the 'Configure' button and change the 'number of readings to average' there. Of course you'd have to change it back again to your normal number.

I've got an allegro cx with a new screen that I might sell.
It's my backup, but I'm considering getting a tablet in a week or so, so I might sell it.
edit: might be a pain going through customs, though, may not be worth the trouble and expense?

Colleagues all-

Thank you for your suggestions and help.

It seems as though a small portion of the right side of the touch screen is 'worn out'.

So, with a bit of luck and your and Gerry Bellanger's advice too, we have a 'patch' that works.

Thank you Artie Kay.

JT if you'd contact me via the Surveyor Connect E-mail function regarding your CX we'd appreciate it.

Cheers

Derek

You can navigate through SurvCE almost entirely without touching the screen. Hold down the ALT key and press A when in store points mode to access the average function. Here is a link to the hotkey list from carlson.

Hope this helps!

Any button or menu item that has an underlined letter can be "pressed" by holding down the ALT key and pressing the corresponding letter.
