[sarcasm]That's not a Tajas Rock Mound; where's the aluminum cap with Kent's marks on it?[/sarcasm]
B-)

Wait a minute! Where did the comment about Kent McM disappear to? I thought it was rather appropriate.
GOT TO HANG OUT AT THE NM / TX FRONTERA TODAY.

Gotta love State Street and the Saturday Farmers Market around the Capital!
Beautiful photos, thank you for sharing them. Is the wood post original GLO? Looks like the rebar was a retracement/perpetuation of the original.
Just a random pipe near a barn in the middle of a farm that just happened to catch my eye when the frog moved as I walked by. All but the top six inches of the pipe is filled with water so it probably makes a nice compact hiding place for the frog with all the comforts of home.
Stephen, your photo made me think of an occurrence about a week ago. I took the lid off of a residential water meter and a frog was looking up at me from his perch on the setter. He may have a problem in that this is one of the meters with remote reading ability. It may be a loooooong time before anyone else opens the lid.

DDSM asked me to post this picture. He has the details. It is Nate's son, Big Help.
No wonder Nate has had trouble with busted DC screens....makes sense now.
Big Help was demonstrating his unicycle skills with Ladd Nelson's GPS unit. He went up and back a pretty steep drive without a hitch. I was relieved...Ladd was relieved, and Little Big Help (sitting on curb) wanted his turn. Nate was inside trusting Uncle DDSM with the adventure.

Managed to take pic of an structure ~5km far

Total station erected on top of an abandoned container of some sort at the bottom of an old gravel pit. This photo was taken a couple of weeks ago, and
soon we have a brand new road down there. South western Finland, Raasepori.
That's great. Just glad it isn't me climbing up there. I hate ladders. Once I'm on the surface, roof, wall, whatever I am fine, it's the ladder that scares me to death, not the distance of potential fall.
Traversing, 3.11.2015. We could have a feet or two snow on the ground by this time of the year but iå«m not complaining =)
Mapping some old concrete stuff still in use which came by as a surprise to everybody... one meter plus some centimeters above sea level, the water just kept gushing in to the pit.
Port of the steel mill continued. Before starting out as a surveyor i used to work there as a wheel loader / excavator / terminal tractor operator.
Blast from the past. Part of a traverse along railroad tracks from city of Lohja to Karjaa, south western finland. I guess that would be at least 60 years old. Still standing though, still in use. Out from the range of UAVå«s and scanners alike.
