Saw the agenda for our 2012 Surveying and Mapping Conference "Convergence of Meridians". Includes short courses by JB Stahl. Right on, good for you coming north to Alaska in February. Sounds like we better plan a SurveyorConnect gathering at North of 61 degrees of latitude.

February is historically a great month for Northern Lights. All depends on the solar activity though, so you never know. We are one 3.5 hour flight leg away from PDX.

I attended Mr Stahls presentation last spring at the AZ Conference. It looks like a similar two day presentation in AK, if not the same one.

Personally, I'd say it's one you don't want to miss. It felt great to walk from there learning more, reinforcing things, and with a much clearer understanding of many of the laws and principles some of us have tended to take for granted over the years. The stuff we apply each and every day.

I give it a definite :good:

JB does do an outstanding job with his classes. Everyone is sure to enjoy.

Whether or not you'll get the double pleasure of meeting his bride Becky.... humm.... Alaska.... February .... perhaps not. If not you'll miss out on a real treat.

Wish it were true Wayne. Last time I talked to the Exec. out there they had a full schedule but wanted to see about getting me to come out sometime in the fall. I'd love to come to AZ spring or fall. But, if they are planning on fall I hope they get things scheduled soon. I got a query this afternoon from another state about their fall conference.
