Got a package from hayes today.

Troy listened to what I needed over the phone and sent me a cable that I hooked up to my Windows 7 computer. It installed the drivers on it's own and now it WORKS!!! 🙂

Thanks Jimmy for the referral and Thanks Troy for saving whats left of my hair.

Awesome! Glad you got it to work. I fought with a similar situation with my Hipers and Vista, and my Ranger 200T and Vista. Daniel w/Hayes really helped me with the USB to Serial adapter, and repairing one of the ports on my Hiper.

Hayes Instruments is an awesome outfit. They have been unbelievable in supporting me since I opened my business in August 2007. I always take my instruments up there for the yearly calibration instead of shipping them (it's a 4 hour drive one way), just to see everyone, and do a little shopping while they check everything out.

The last time I was there, Troy took the time to teach me how to adjust one of my tribrachs that had gotten out of adjustment. Troy and his son came down to the office I was working at with a former employer, and put on a seminar for the field guys in the area. It was a great class, and we had about 35 guys in attendance.

Everyone I have ever dealt with there is great. Randy, Kevin, Jerry, Troy, Brad, Shane, Chastity, Daniel, and the whole group are just as friendly as they can be, and they want you to be successful.

I too have had great service from Hayes. From my first instrument on their "worry-free" lease, to my badass bantam radios, to panic calls to Troy when a data collector they don't even sell locked up. First rate guys all around.
Refreshing to have people who are in a service industry provide service...without question.

my comments exactly...I use Hayes because of their stellar support team, I cant tell you how many times they have saved my day.

BTW, you can plug the power adapter into the gadget, and it will Act as the charger as well, charging through the com port.
