I would like to have in my collection an invar measuring tape, but i try to find in the we b but seems that does not exists anymore!
Never heard of an Invar tape before - isn't Invar too stiff to roll easily?
Invar levelling staves, sure

here you go bud. I forget the ratios but it was like a certain percentage of nickel and alloy or something mixed and made them hold up to temperature changes better.

Nice find. I, too, was not familiar with invar tapes.
The didn’t sell them any more?
@johnymal I think you are corrrect. I think chrome clad and steel and nylon coated steel is about it now days. Steel fluctuates more to temps so a little more watching the temp but shoot how many really know how to still tape and pull tension swag today. It was on the exam but most crews today have not had the pleasure of using tension and such. I have a 300 ft Invar at the house now still in box and paperwork from when it was calibrated. Many many years ago. Was a gift as I left the USMC.
So they disappear from the market? I want one in metric for my collection.
