From a reviewer:

The legal description on the survey does not match that shown in the title report. (Only it does, since it was a cut and paste from the title report, and I've now checked it three times to be sure.)

We need item 11(a). You have shown 11(b).

We don't need the names of the adjoining owners, but we do need item 13.

We don't need observed evidence of current earth moving work, but we do need item 16.

We don't need proposed changes in street right-of-way lines, but we do need item 17.

We don't need wetlands shown, but we do need item 19.

Those of you who go through this know I'm not kidding. I have the e-mail in front of me. Aaarrrrgh.

Drives one to drink don't it?

I got into the habit of labeling my notes on the plan with the same format as the title commitment.

I am dealing with:

"You have depicted the names of the adjoining property owners, but your certification does not list Table A Item 13."

and

"Your certification lists Table A Item 18, but we did not see any note that “there is no observed evidence of site use as a solid waste dump, sump or sanitary landfill.”

I say "My interpretation is that a note is only necessary if something is observed, but I will add a note that it is not."

"Thanks."

Ah, clarification on the legal description. The problem is they can't find the POB labeled anywhere. Probably because it is an aliquot part and has no POB.

On the other hand I had a pleasant conversation just now with the attorney involved, so maybe we are making progress.

They never enjoy hearing:

"You don't always get what you want, you get what I am legally bound to show"

B-)

LOL. I had that once on a platted lot, where the description was like "Lot 2 of Smith Subdivision ... "

We got a message saying, "We can't use the survey because there is no POB, please show the POB."

"We can't label the POB because platted lots do not have a POB ... "

"OK, I was just going through my checklist"
