I have a charger somewhere in the garage for the husky. We are talking early 1990's parts here. Will take a quick look tomorrow.

Wow!! And it still works? I haven't used one of those in about 18 years. That thing has got to be pretty much considered an antique by now. They were good for the time. Had to be one of the first rugged DC to hit the survey market.

Wish you luck. Would be great to see if you can get another 20 years out of it.

husky data collector as a sledge hammer

Yes, a hammer according to a surveyor I once saw staking a road, we were two crews sent out there. Don't know if it was a standard practice of his or if he was trying to make a statement about the durability. I yelled down the slope "what are you doing ??!!??" Said he left the small sledge back in his truck, so he was pounding in 2"x2"x6" hubs with the back bottom side of that collector. Never bothered it.

But never saw him place it under his rear tire when he got stuck in the mud later. He just put wood under the tire.

That used to be the Husky ad in the surveying mags in the late 90s. There was one where a guy was pulling a Husky out of a bucket of water, and one were a guy was using a Husky as a hammer.

Amazing, did not remember that. So the guy was following what he had seen.

We used the Husky FS2 with the Geodimeter.

I miss them both.
