Rats: I've done this before with no problems, but now.. windows XP pro; DesignJet 430: I got the HP drivers to the download window, Unzipped 16 files; then nothing happens. Not sure where the unzipped files went, or how to get whatever into the "printers" area. Any help appreciated. Don B.

You might try going to: Start, All Programs, Assessories, System Tools, System Information and search through the various drivers listed.

Also, do another download, and see if the path to where the drivers went show up on the screen before you unzip the files and then search the folder.

System information lists "signed drivers" (?) designjet "not available". The download unzip window wants to unzip to "UME~1userLOCALS~1temp"; claims to have unzipped 16 files; I don't know what or where that is, or what to reassign unzip to. I was hoping for a "wizard" pop up of some sort. Thank you, Don B

Create a temporary folder with a name you will remember what it contains in My Documents or on the Desktop and download the drivers to that folder so you can find them if you eventually can find out where to unzip them to.

I went through my XP computer drive to see if I could find where my WinLine Drivers are for my HP 450C, but didn't have much luck and for a search with the XP search function or Find with PowerDesk, I would need some letters in the names of the drivers.

I didn't ask an obvious question earlier. I assumed that you had gone to the Control Panel, Printers & Faxes and Add A Printer and then added the HP 430 from the printer list for HP. If you haven't done this, that is probably the reason that the drivers never installed where they should be.

Thank you Mr. Dowdell: I think I finally got it by creating a new file folder as you suggested and directing the install wizard to that. Thanks again, Don B
