I have the HP 50G and the D'Zign Trans Pac software that I received in trade with a very reputable patron here on Beerleg.

Did so for use by an associate that insists upon working out his construction work longhand. Won't use SMI v7 DOT or any other data collection. He does everything from a computer model created in Carlson 2008.

I have never have used the HP 50G or D'Zign Trans Pac software, so I can not instruct you.

I do have the hard copy manual and can attempt to answer some questions if you are totally without a manual.

Like the blind leading the blind.

Stick, or is it "Stuck"?

Most of the surveyors who purchased this software/hardware have moved on to more current software and hardware. If you have done any programming at all, you should do a flow chart of where you are now and how to get where you need to be. At the end you will see that you need to get on board with a current hardware/software solution for your work.

Your boss (or you) should put on the businessman hat and realize that it is time to quit fighting something you can't get to work efficiently and get something that works! The concept is: "Stop wasting time and start making money". It is as simple as that. If you get the right supplier they will make sure you are up to speed and making money, period. They want you to be successful.

R.I.P. Ted Kerber!
