I am looking for help connecting a Recon Survey Pro to Hiper+ with Bluetooth. It has been a while and forgot the procedure.

The Hiper+ has a bluetooth sticker on the bottom, But I am unaware if you have to toggle the bluetooth on through the desktop PC-CDU software.

The recon has a bluetooth pluggin chip and software. When the Hiper+ is on and Recon's Bluetooth software runs a search, no hardware devices are found.

Is there a checklist procedure sheet for the connection, does anyone have suggestions.

I believe the bt in the gps is always on.
Do you have the socket bluetooth in that recon?
When I had that setup, I cabled up to the gps. I was also using vrs.

The bt on the recon could only keep up with the phone--not both.

I won't be using VRS, will be using a base station RTK, but would like to go cable free between the Hiper and the Recon.

I'm just going through this process using a Ranger and Hiper II's. I'm running Survey Pro. I found if I let the data collector try and link up to the Hipers using the automatic function it won't work, but if I use the manual process, it works. I'm not sure what kind of software is running on your collecter, is it the kind that runs Windows in the background? If it is, I established a "partnership" using the bluetooth in windows first, and then got in survey pro and linked them up. I'm not sure the step was needed, but it worked.

Thanks, after reading through some old notes I found from years ago. When in Survey Pro, setting for the Hiper+ rover, the comm port needed to be toggled to Comm Port 8 (instead of bluetooth or Comm 1), must be something with the Socket Bluetooth CF Card. Then the Survey Pro wizard did a search for the receiver and found it. Everything seem to be connecting fine without a cable now, So I did a sprite backup. Thanks
