The old version is back online. I downloaded a plat.
I saw it was down, it's at least partly working now.

Have you found a solution in that program to call up notes for township or range lines that don't show up? I've only gotten them by calling the BLM office, I still think I'm missing something. Sometimes they are available, sometimes not.
@mightymoe when I’m needing notes I always just email the SO- public room for the entire township, and they usually turn them around in a day or two. They’ll also send a copy of the the index card along too. Those are pretty handy, for showing the timing and sequence of surveys around the township.
That's what I do also. It's a bit frustrating using the website, unlike Wyoming which has all the official notes and plats on the state website, lately I've used the national clearinghouse site for Montana, then when I can't find what I want I get it from the office. They are very helpful, but I keep thinking I'm missing some trick to access some of the notes. It's usually a township or range line that's not on the site. Maybe that update will add all the rest of the information, clearly it's all scanned now.
snip of some Montana notes from the scans.
Lots of the file is readable, but it seems that the areas I need are problematic. They are re-scanning the areas I need for me. The people in the office are very helpful, it might take a while to get it out to me.
Just go to a library and ask the librarian to direct you to the Fiction Section.
It must be nice to work in the portions of PLSSia where the notes were not written while sitting under a big shade tree with an adequate supply of glass bottles present.

If its like NSRS 2022, we should see it sometime in 2030!
