Gatewing X100 undoubtedly offers working solution to open pit mining operation. The technology simply rocks in my opinion.

If I remember right the complete kit is around $75-$100,000.00. That included all needed hardware, software, accessories and even a few "extras".
It is unfortunate that these are currently restricted in the US unless you are a college/university or a research institution.

it is a cool idea to attach wings to a camera (and a prop behind) - that is pretty much what X100 is.

Trimble is not the only manufacturer of this technology. Although I cannot remember the names of the companies, there were at least two other companies promoting UAV's at the Esri UC this year.

No but a replacement body is "only" $2,000...
Can't they incorporate a parachute to deploy over the takeoff site at low altitude? (or is it just another ploy for $)
