Kent had mentioned some past Texas surveyors in a previous post. Got me thinking. I remember watching the 2004 movie "Friday Night Lights". The trailer at the end briefly explained what happened to the real life characters later in their lives. The quarterback, Mike Winchell, went on to be a surveyor. Any of you Texas boys know him?

Andy Nold went to high school at Permian Midland in Odessa with all of them featured in the book and movie. Hopefully he'll see this and be able to answer.

Permian and Midland are arch enemies, Odessa Permian and Midland Lee.
I did not know Mike, he was a year ahead of me. He ended up in Decatur, Tx. working for Tommy and Davey Edwards on a field crew. He is not reqistered. I think they let him go in 2008 when real estate crashed and I have no idea what he does now.
