This sounds like like a "gem" of a job...

My favorite part: "$10 per hour and $12 per successfully completed location survey"

http://baltimore.craigslist.org/egr/3806822630.html

Looks like more and more like the "fishy" company some kind folks here said it is.....

"seeking a one man crew "

"Company will offer the right candidate for party chief $10 per hour and $12 per successfully completed location survey, so any good field crew will earn between $16-$22 per hour"

Does this mean they are willing to hire a one man crew that is not necessarily even a qualified party chief? From what I can tell about these guys, they aren't after quality. So why the limit of $22. If I could earn $10 per hours and complete two house locations per hour, didn't I make $34 per hour? 😀

Yes, I believe that is how it works. With a business plan that takes $10/hr "crews", and bumps their pay based on quickness and shortcuts, what could possibly go wrong?

Whoo hoo, I can see me retiring to the Riviera with this get-rich-quick scheme.

The good news is....based on what I can find on their website, they don't operate in my usual area!! The work in northern Virginia around the D.C. area, but not south of Richmond.

Hub Northing

How is ole' Hub these days? Kind of ironic that after surveying for all those fences that he would end up behind one.

Isn't the standard current rate at $0.55/mile.

And they are missing two holidays: Good Friday and Mardi Gras.

What Mardi Gras not a national holiday?

I was surveying in southern nj and some guy came up to me and offer me that he would sign them for$40 a title survey. He got upset with who he was doing it for before because they were just pulling the tape to the curb or neighboring house and splitting the difference.

Should have done it. If I go for the license in nj it would be a decade before I could even sit for the test.
