Wouldn't there be a certain "swaying in the breeze factor" to compensate for?

Saw a picture of one once, seems to have been only moments ago that I saw it.

In the 1876 Report to the Chief of Engineers in Washington, D.C., an Army Engineer Captain mentioned that a triangulation party outside of Natchez, Mississippi had to cut their observation season short. Seems like native aborigines were shooting arrows at the observers in their tree-top towers made of scantling timbers.

well, Gunnie, not to be argumentative, cause I really respect you, I think if one little girl's or one little boy's daddy came home at the end of the day because of safety requirements, I ain't gonna bitch about it.
