I am doing my first FEMA Elevation Certificate in about 10 yrs. I have downloaded the forms and instructions but I have a few questions.

First questions: Can you fill out the PDF version of the certificate and save the entries? I want to fill out what I do know, save, then come back to fill out the rest, or do I need to wait until I have all the necessary information, then fill out the form?

Second questions: How do you attach the photos from item A6 to the certificate? Can you attach the photos in the PDF? Do I print the digital photos out, then staple, tape, or paste the photos to the form?

OK, maybe there were more than two (2) questions.

Any help is appreciated.

I don't start to fill it out until I have assembled everything. Takes no time at all that way. I have a quickie format on a sheet of paper with the primary questions filled in. Wham, bam, done.

I usually use the Word format that FEMA has available. You can copy and paste photos into the form and re-size them from there as well.

I would second using the Word format that FEMA makes available over the PDF format. IMO, the PDF format has some shortcomings as far as saving, editing, and inserting photos goes.

The Word formatted certificate worked.

Thank you.
